Our organically managed farm

As farmers we live from and with nature – it is at the basis to our existence to treat our environment with care. Respectful treatment of animals, animal welfare and sustainable cultivation of land and forests are an integral part of our believes in sustainable agriculture. We are convinced that, through organic farming, we provide a valuable service to society and nature.

We will be happy to show you and your children what work on a farm is like and why it is important. You can experience life in the stable, on the pasture or on the alpine meadows first hand.

The new stable, built from larch and fir wood from our own forest, is home to mainly breeds of animals that are threatened with extinction. The three Noriker mares Heidi, Gloria and Herta and the Noriker stallion Flori, an old Austrian cold-blooded breed, find their place there. The horses are harnessed for carriage and sleigh rides with splendid harnesses. Our farm also includes our Tux-Zillertaler cattle – an old Tyrolean breed. Some Pustertaler Sprinzen cows also live in our stable – or in summer, like all our animals, on the alpine pasture.
